I couldn’t tell if it is true or not, but most fridges have the ice maker model written in the back of the unit next to the motor. The ice maker kit has everything you need to connect which is very easy following the steps. Obviously, you will need a 1/4” water line from the sink to where the fridge is located. Find and turn on any additional switches that your ice maker may have in addition to the control arm. Resetting the power to your ice maker is all that is necessary to resolve this. You might be able to restart the functionality of your ice maker by turning the switch on and off. This will cause it to start producing ice once more.

The only thing included in the kit is the pump and tubing that goes up the refrigerator into the freezer and the parts needed to get the water into the ice maker without the water freezing. You have to supply everything from the water pump, which will be located in the bottom rear of the refrigerator, to your water source.
