I have owned 2 other portable A/C, but they did not perform as they advertised. So, I went and got this EdgeStar AP14003W, and I am loving the machine. Only issue I have with this product is how misleading the product page on the Amazon was. It describes the product to have a “Self-evaporative technology;” but I have not seen it actually evaporating any condensate water as they advertised.

It is not quiet when the compressor is running, but extremely loud either. I placed a very heavy pillow on top of the unit, and that seems to muffle and suppress the noise making it somewhat bearable.
